A Quick Guide To
Boiler System Types
There are three boiler system types to choose from, and the best fit for your home will depend on your specific requirements. Take a look at our handy guide or get in touch if you’re still unsure which system type is the best fit.

Combi Boilers
Combi boilers are a great solution for smaller homes with low water demands. They provide hot water and heating directly from the mains so there is no need for additional tanks or cylinders. Combi boilers are also more energy efficient, saving you money on your energy bills.

System Boilers
System boilers are a better option for larger homes with a higher demand for hot water. By storing water in a separate cylinder or tank, they are able to provide hot water to multiple rooms or taps simultaneously without losing water pressure. However, this will take up more space than a combi boiler.

Regular Boilers
If your home has old or low pressure
pipework, a regular boiler is a solution which doesn’t require replacing your
central heating system. They require a cold water feed tank and a hot water storage tank, usually installed in the loft. Regular boilers are the least efficient as they waste heat in the tanks and pipes.
